WE ARE RESIDENTIAL REALTORS IN THE CITY OF VANCOUVER.
Our Philosophy: The only advice we give to our clients, is the advice we give to our closest family.
MEGAN WILSON HO
Born and raised in Vancouver, I grew up watching my hometown grow from a small West Coast city, into a thriving, multi-cultural, and international city. I started my professional career as an early childhood educator where I spent nine years working with children and their families. It was from this experience, that I started to see how families tried so hard to juggle between work and taking care of their children. This is when I saw just how important a home is in providing families a safe, warm and loving environment. Along with obtaining my degree in Early Child Care and Education, I later volunteered and obtained my Crisis Centre Counseling Intervention Certificate which gave me great insight into what Vancouverites may go through on a daily basis. After working with children and families for over nine years, in 2002, I brought my sense of family and home to Dexter Associates Realty. Throughout my years of experience with children, families and coaching, the most important thing I learned was to truly listen to, and understand, my client’s needs. In order for me to find the right home for my clients, or sell their home, I had to really understand what they were looking for and empathize with the issues in life that they were currently experiencing. My professionalism and deep understanding of Vancouver’s real estate market is also something I pride myself in providing to my clients. In my spare time, I also study human wellness and natural & holistic health care.
EVAN HO
I started my professional career at Scotiabank as a Personal Banking Officer, where I helped my clients with their daily banking needs. The most rewarding part of my job was working with my clients in obtaining a mortgage to help them buy their home. It was through this process and seeing the emotions my clients went through, that I realized just how important buying a home is for a family or individual. I also learned the effect mortgage rates had on the cost of borrowing, and ultimately affecting the purchase price of a home. After two years as a Personal Banking Officer, I joined ScotiaMcLeod as an Investment Executive. There, over six years, I worked with my clients building financial plans to achieve their investment and retirement goals. My time at ScotiaMcLeod gave me the opportunity to build the skill sets needed to analyze companies and market conditions. Whether it was looking at the 10-year-bond yield which will affect mortgage rates, short term interest rates set by The Bank of Canada, which will affect borrowing cost for Canadian consumers, or to understand the different sub markets within the Greater Vancouver real estate market. I truly believe these skill sets allow me to bring a professional, thoughtful, and efficient market analysis for my clients, whether they are buying or selling a home. After eight years with the same financial institution, my wife Megan and I decided to start a publishing company where we founded and built a national print/digital, fashion focused, magazine called The Block Magazine. During the last five years while building The Block, I worked with major national and international media companies that represented brands such as AUDI, DIOR, BCBG, PUMA, CONVERSE, HUGO BOSS, and many more. Working with these clients, I developed a deep understanding about how major brands build and develop marketing campaigns through ‘direct’ and ‘top of mind’ marketing strategies. During these five years, I learned the importance of creating a marketing campaign which included digital, outdoor, and print platforms. At the same time, working with these national media agencies, I developed a keen sense of negotiation. As publisher, every deal that I worked on required a process of negotiations for pricing and advertising placements. I truly believe the marketing and negotiation skills I learned with The Block, will help bring value to my clients, today, when they sell or buy their home. Throughout my entire professional life, it always came down to a ‘people’ business, and the relationships with my clients is always the most important thing.
